Brahma Vidyalayam
A great school for the teaching of all religions was
the vision of Gurudev which has taken the form of
Brahmavidyalaya at Sivagiri. This institution provides
the facilities to learn all religions with equanimity and
equal respect. The Guru announced this at the end
of the All Religions’ Meet held at Aluva Advaithashram,
on the Sivarathri day of 1924. Guru laid the foundation
stone for this institution in 1925 itself. The
Brahmavidyalayam is built at the slope of the
Mahasamadhi hill in oval shape, much later, which
happens to be beside Samadhi mandiram. It was
inaugurated on 31st December, 1970 , by Swami
Shankarananda. It has a collection of rare religious
scriptures and other spiritual works. Students who
have an aptitude for spiritual education are selected
and trained here under efficient ascetic teachers. The
duration of the course is for 7 years and the syllabi
include, the compositions of the Guru and the
scriptures of all important religions of the world.
